Burn baby burn

Hey...sorry I havent posted in awhile, so not like me but nothing really new has been going on.

Today I met with my trainer, oh man I'm so out of shape and just with the 25min that we had I'm already feeling it! I thought I'd share some of the things she had me do so for those of you working out at the gym or home you can do some of these too:

She worked alot on my core body strength, those seems to hurt the worse.

While doing this you clinch your buttocks and your stomach and lift up and let down but when letting down she placed her hand under my back and wanted me to try and squash it as hard as possible while is pretty hard to do but that shows how to use your core. This one was so hard. Staying in this position and holding it, doesnt look hard
but OMG it is, at the same time squeezing your buttocks and always making sure
your belly button is in and tightening your stomach.
This was using an 8lb weight and moving it from side to side,
really works your sides.
Another one we did using the ball was almost in this same position but with
toes in the air and raising the ball to the toes like a sit up.

For me, htis one was the hardest of all. Burpees!
I think i did 10-15 reps, felt like more but whoa! You have to jump down in the second position, then go to a pushup, then do that curled position again and then jump up and do it all over. Kicked my butt

We did my triceps, this one was good.

On top of these there were some balance excersices with weights. So it was a good workout but man I'm feeling it and it's only been a few hours since I did it which means I'll be hurting in the morning! My goal is to lose 20lbs by June!! I'm watching my calories and logging in what i eat online so I can manage what I eat. So far it's going good. I'm very proud of myself, but I'll see where I am in June.

Other than that, Luis finally got his internet up and running. He has sent me a few pictures and we chat online usually everyday. I have to send him a webcam and once he gets that we can see him but he has been able to see and hear us. But he's doing good. We are just counting down until June when he'll be home for his leave (vacation).

I've been wondering where you were! Good for you on the workout! We have a webcam that we use with my sister who's in China! It will be a great for Ashlyn to see her daddy!

Oh man... before I got pregnant I had a trainer and all those sound really familiar. The plank (where your on your toes and elbows)... get ready, my trainer made me lift one arm in the air and stay like that after several sessions. I was always sore, but loved it. Keep up the good work; I hope to get a trainer again after this kid. It really helped me last time (I just needed more time between kids I think!!)

Way to go! I've been slacking lately with the trip to SD and then playing catch-up on life upon my return, but you motivated me to find the time!

Okay, so you posting pics of the workouts actually makes me miss the gym. And I agree with Lori, the plank is killer, especially when the add little "changes" to the routine. That was one that I could never fully get. But maybe you have inspired me. I am not going to join a gym because I am never in town enough, but so many of these can be done at home. Let's see if I will actually do it at home!
