Is this just a phase?
For the past 3 days Ashlyn has had this battle with me about her wearing pants! She had this little phase about a month or two ago, where she just didn't want to wear pants, but I thought was over it. Until 3 days ago (potty training too) not sure if that has anything to do with it. But Monday and today we have had tantrums over it that resulted in time out, tears, sent to her room, etc. She wanted to go outside and play, but she would have to wear pants to do so, hello...it's cold outside, and she whined and cried. Even today , getting her dressed, she whined, cried, carried on all because I got her dressed including pants, she went to timeout again until she stopped. It's ridiculous! Is this a phase?

Um, I have no clue ya know with any other child experience. But I do think this is a phase. Since Connor has been picky about his dinners and refuses to eat, his Dr suggested giving him 2 options and letting him chose. He said if C still refuses then I tell him that's what he picked and if he doesn't eat it then that's it. Maybe you can do that with Ashlyn. Pull out 2 or 3 pair of pants and let her decide which one she wants to wear. If she picks out a pair and actually lets you put them on, make a big deal out of it. You should probably throw in there that "Big girls get to pick out their own clothes." If she still refuses, then I have no clue! Some kids go through those phases where they want to be nudists or wear a costume every day. Just hope that it passes soon!

LOL I must admit I laughed too. I think girls have some issue with wanting to be naked! Every little girl I have ever known always wanted to be naked! Its probably just a phase. I'm sorry I have no advice. :(
My niece was this way when she was little. She would ONLY wear skirts!!!! She wouldn't even wear shorts! It is a phase, hang in there. You may need to invest in some tights for the winter ;)
I had one girl like Ashlyn and one exactly opposite. Eventually both girsl got so bad about getting up and putting on so many different outfits, I had to lock their clothes up. I suggest you always make her get dressed and let he pick them out on her own, and they will end up being more fun than being naked :)
I think this is hilarious too. And I hope it's just a phase, or you are going to have some major problems in high school. ;)
