I have been having problems/situations with Ashlyn alot lately of getting very easily scared in most simple situations. A stranger in the same room could look scary to her, my friends mom that would never be scary was telling a story of a bear she saw and she growled and Ashlyn was scared to death crying for me and took her time to get used to her again. Today I took her to ChicFilA for lunch and let her play on the playscape, child freaked out and was crying, for what I dont know unless it was the loud noises kids were making. She is very reserved in public situations, like today at story time, no way would she get up and dance and stretch with other kids, she had to sit in my lap and ended up not even listening to the story time she'd rather play by herself on the train table. In any new surrounding she takes awhile to warm up to people and the environment once she feels comfortable she will then play or interact. The animated show on tv "It's a Big Big World" with the big sloth, she has always been terrified of that thing, which I think he's cute, but yet she can watch other stuff like Ursela on Little Mermaid ??? So I just want to know if this is normal behavior of a 2 year old (girl) most boys I know didnt exp this. Will she grow out of it? Any suggestions?
From what I remember and was told by my mother, I was very shy around other people, birthday parties, groups and liked to be by myself and I think Luis was like that too ;) Maybe it's genetic? I just want her to develop better social skills. Thanks for listening and I'm curious to see if any of you know what I'm talking about ;)
Oh and as far as the night time issues, she STILL gets out of her bed. We had a crib at our house but when we moved we had to use what my mom already had here which is a full size bed and i have the rails on the side, but she will climb out mulitple times and either play or lay on the floor etc. It's a battle now between her and I. It doesnt seem to register to her that I say NO or that she gets in trouble every time she does it. Hoping this is a phase, bc for 6 months now she has never gotten out of bed, she just would stay there until I would open her door. I guess i'm starting to experience the ...."Terrible 2's" !!! OH MY!
First game of the season and we kicked butt, but Florida Atlantic wasn't really a challenge it seemed. But game day is a great excuse to dress my little girl up in UT gear :) She has been practicing hard to do her Hook Em Horns sign and finally mastered it, it's so cute. I also braided her hair for the first time and it looked adorable, had to share. 
We matched today ;)
