Luis left today for a 2 week training in Colorado and I hate when he's gone, especially more now with Ashlyn. He hugged on her a lot last night, said he was really going to miss her. This is his first time away from her since he's been home from Iraq. But this is nothing for what is to come in January and it's already beginning to hit me and scare me. 15 months away from my husband and Ashlyn away from her Daddy, I can't even imagine what we are going to do,but as always we push through it, lean on family and friends. But I just HATE this part of the Army and I can't wait until he gets back so he can finally get out of the Army and start a normal civilian life with a house in one spot for more than a year or two. I cant wait.
To top it off, Ashlyn is a little sick. She has a stuffy nose and can't breathe very well. She's sleeping with a vaporizer , the only way she can sleep. We had a very late night last night, she kept waking up couldn't breathe and I had to hold her and rock her so she could sleep better, on top of Luis having to wake up at 0430 this morning, I know he's hurting today.
Well that's all for my vent session for today. I just pray these 2 weeks fly by. Thankfully my girlfriends husbands are gone too so we can all hang out together for the company!

She LOVES her Elmo
Elmo seems to be Ashlyn's best friend right now! That's why I think it's time for her to have a brother or sister, haha. Here are some pictures of Ashlyn and Elmo!

Let's talk TV
Ok so I can't wait for summer to be over so all my shows can come back on, I'm having withdrawls from Grey's and What About Brian and many more!
In the mean time, Army Wives is my new favorite show. I hope y'all have seen it. I'm hooked. It's on Lifetime, Sunday nights at 9pm. It's great!
Other than that I watch "So You Think you Can Dance" which I've always enjoyed watching. I'm not sure though who I like the best but I'm pretty sure a girl will when it this year. They are all really good. If only I could dance like that or only if I could dance..period! ha.
And of course I have to admit I do watch ONE Soap, Days of our Lives! It's so ridiculous but I can't help but watching it! ha.
And that's about if for tv viewing, nothing else is on!

A day at the park
Bye Bye Breastfeeding
Well 3 nights ago I decided to stop nursing Ashlyn to sleep. She has been fighting sleep big time lately and that was making it hard too, so i stopped. We have gone 3 nights without nursing and she's been fine. After a few nights of letting her fight sleep and crying, the past 2 nights she has let me just rock her and lay her down without a fuss so that has been nice. My mom thinks since she's weaned and sleeping it's time for another one! No thanks mom, not right now!! ha.

Finally back home
Sorry I have taken awhile to post a blog, I totally forgot about it and have been so busy.
We are finally moved in and finally back from TX. We had a LONG month of June. As soon as we moved in to our new house, we went on vacation to TX for 2 weeks. We went to Austin, San Antonio and Laredo.

And while we were there, Ashlyn got her ears pierced!!! I finally got the nerve to do it, she screamed and cried but she was ok right afterwards.
Whew! Glad to be home. My niece Jessica came back
with us to visit. It's been great having her here, she's a big help although she got so sick the day after 4th of July so that wasn't fun.

4th of July was fun too. We went on post and to the carnival and watched the fireworks, Ashlyn had a blast too. She enjoyed every minute of it.
